I run the 16T as well, due to mostly 60- 70mph riding. It's great for that; 60 and above. But, it is worse for anything under 60mph. I have left it on because I sometimes use the Interstate which means 80- 85mph here, and for that it's great. However, without the breathing mods I suspect it would really be hurting with the 16. I was worried about longevity since I put a lot of miles on, but at some speeds the engine is actually doing more work with the 16, just at a slower speed. Murf

Hello all, I need to change my sprockets. I am happy with the stock ratios, I just wanted to know if I should go with Kawasaki replacements or aftermarket (if there are any). Thanks in advance, John in T.O. C11 BTW Just changed the doohickey on my '97 and the original was broken in three pieces (one is still in the engine somewhere).

Yo John, I just picked up a replacement set of Sunstars and a new DID X ring chain. This is my 2nd replacement chain and my first replacement set of sprockets. According to my local parts man, Sunstar makes the OEM Kawi sprockets. I think I paid $25 front, $45 rear, adn $89 for a 106 link D.I.D. X-ring chain. Good luck CA Stu PS T.O. = Tulsa Oklahoma? PSS did you look in the oil strainer screen under the cengine cover on the clutck side of the engine for your broken parts? Good idea to fish the parts out sooner than later.
