OK, I was not real impressed when I tried starting my 2007 after the
500 mile service. It seemed harder to start and it seemed to take
longer to warm up with the choke on.
Now after about a month of no riding it won't continue to run if I
turn off the choke. I let it warm up completely and still, if I try
to shut off the choke it dies.
With the choke fully on, and the temp guage in the middle of the
operating temp. it still is only running at 2k rpm.
This is my first bike so I'm looking for a bit of wisdom/insight.
Anyone have any ideas of what I can do - or should I just push it back
up on the trailer and go back to my original dealer ( I know he did a
good job setting it up the first time)
thanks

proper chain tension...?

Put the bike on a stand with the rear wheel off the ground. Remove the bolt in the bottom of the dog bones so the swingarm is free of the shock. Align the center of the rear axle, the center of the drive sprocket, and the pivot point of the swingarm. Adjust so chain isn't overtight at this point. Put bolt back in shock and dogbones. Keep chain lubed, and forget about needing to adjust chain tension for next 6000 miles or so. Thanks CA Stu> > The way I've found to keep me out of trouble is > >
