I'm thinking of writing a letter to the city to incorporate more "moto friendly" areas into parking lots. Park on the grass, sidewalk, island, infront of the reastraunt on the sidewalk, I have found more than 1 reatraunt owner who did'nt mind. Park on the stryps next to the handicap parking, ( do this in front of cops and have never had one say anything) Park infront of the bike rack. Just be creative! Thomas Forest Park Ga. I wouldn't suggest parking in the stripes of a handicapped space; my
grandma's walker is pretty big and she can swing it around rather
widely. Plus, some people with those electronic scooters will unload
them from their vehicles in those spaces and need the room.
I've also received a ticket for parking on the sidewalk, it was out of
the way, between two lamp posts so it wasn't in pedestrian's way. And
it was after midnight so it wasn't exactly walker's rush-hour. It was
in Salt Lake City, if that means anything.

For most, having a handicap placard is like "getting something back from the Man" or winning a prize/lottery. Most of them have no good reason for having one thanks to the doctor's who facilitate this "scam". Most of the"handicapped" would probably be healthier if they parked in the back of the lot and got a little more exercise walking in. Fred,,,,,just my pet peeve> Park infront of the bike rack. off to the lost coast!
Hey all,
See you in a few weeks, I'm off to the Lost Coast with three other KLRs. All four of us are list members, but the only one who is also active is Blake Sobiloff. Looking forward to a break from the daily grind!
See you in August.
