A few of you might remember that, a couple of months ago, I posted a few
questions asking for help setting up a Baja by KLR fishing trip for Field &
Stream. Well, I got a ton of helpful comments from everyone here. Thought
you guys might enjoy a few quick outtakes from my photog s shoot (he took
3459 pictures over 12 days). In total:
9 days on the road
2,000 miles of highway
300 miles of dirt
2 striped marlin
1 giant roosterfish
4 tiny trout
And too many cigarettes later ...
I m back in the daily grind.
So thanks again! Here s hoping I get back on the road as soon as possible.

question on supertrap exhaus and jets
Jeff posted:
I need more power to keep up with my eleven year old on the trails..........(VBG) Kidding aside, I often use WOT on trails but would probably crash if riding a faster bike in the same way. This is one of the aspects of the KLR which makes it fun and close to ideal for an old, heavy, underpowered rider like myself. On road I tend to use WOT throttle through the gears as normal practice and talked to a guy who knows a guy, whose sister dated a guy whose friend was reported to run WOT in top gear for long stretches on deserted highways. I doubt that either riding style would be possible with a faster bike.
