klr tool kit

Post by Al Tokarchik » Wed Jun 16, 2004 3:05 pm

I'm a new rider and have a question; has anyone had their Kawasaki tool kit stolen from a KLR? I'm wondering if it's relatively safe in the provided cubby or if I need to carry it in my nap sack. Thanks, Al T

The stock toolkit, and anything loose on a bike, can easily be the victim of a nuisance theft. In my neighborhood, they'll take the toolkit when they chuck the whole bike in the back of a van. Gone in 10 seconds if you're not locked to something solid. The other thing to consider is the stock toolkit is pretty meager. Devon a18klr@... wrote:

OK, for sure I know this answer: Since I bought my KLR in Wisconsin, (near U of W, the Badgers)and because of its tenacious, occaisionally quarrelsome nature (and that it can't be hurt); I've named it "Badger". Tony G. A16 Fort Worth, TX
