thanks!
I got both the bash plate and the fork brace in today. They went on in about a half an hour total! Not a hard install of course. I get to test them out on the grueling treck to work (tampa's paved roads are worse than many dirt roads!) so we shall see how they fare.
Thanks for the rapid shipping and straight-forward insight. I will definitely do business with you again!

Btw, that was to Fred Hink, Arrowhead. The items got here exactly when he said they would and were exactly as he described. No wonder he's so popular with the aftermarket around here!

thanks!
My dry battery is gone and a new (wet) one is powering the bike -
I was over-charging the bike with a cheap *trickle charger* which
turns out to be nothing less than a low voltage arc welder! I dried
the battery out so many times it held only 11.5v for a few starts
then went flat. I thought I was killing it with the voltage regulator
on the bike, but it was I.
I measured the voltage across the posts (connected to the leads)
installed in the bike.
Not running: 12.3v
1000~2000 rpm: 12.2~12.7v
2000~3000 rpm: 13.2~14.3v
3000 rpm and up: 12.5~12.7v
Regulator seems ok to me.
I want to thank the list and specially those who took their time to
take the extra step to help out off line. Thank you!
Rev. Chuck
