Yes, a good 1/2" impact gun works better than the flywheel wrench for loosening the flywheel bolt. Tightening requires a method of holding the flywheel to prevent rotation which makes using the flywheel holding wrench almost mandatory. I say "almost" because one could use a strap wrench, band wrench or the like but I doubt that you have access to either. Need to borrow a holding wrench? I have just pulled my Dunlop 607's off in favor of a 50/50 Mefo tire. The Dunlop's are superb road tires wet or dry. These tires have been babied and have at least 2000 miles left on them. If anyone would like to try out a really good road tire contact me off list and I will send them to you for the cost of freight. I don't want to throw them away but have no room for storage. The only reason I am changing, is I wanted something more dirt worthy...the Dunlop's excel on the road, hence are crap on dirt, mud, grass etc. Capt.
