Picked up a little bike last night, but not sure of what I got. Guess right now is maybe an f6? Thought one of you might know what model it is: http://forums.ninja250.org/viewtopic.php?p=531197#531197

Looks like an F6. Should say F6 on the frame near the steering bearings before the frame number. Probably a 73 model and should also say 125cc cast into the base of the cylinder. The F7 175cc had adjustable forks which this one doesn't so I'd say it is the 125cc F6. Fred www.arrowheadmotorsports.com

I'm pretty sure it's a 1973 G5 100cc: That's the only year that had the "over the tank" laser stripes. The feature that gives it away: the tail section. Only the G5 had that. The 100cc was speedo only, no tach. All other higher cc models had a tachometer. Mike

dealer in Knocksville TN back in the early 70's. In 1972 we had a G-3 (90cc) street bike, low chrome pipe and slimmer tank, red. A dealer can look up the part by paint color and stripe style for ya. If we are all guessing.... Ill say 1973 G5. Richard B A19

I'll say it's a 1970 G-1, 10 cc, made specifically for the North American market to compete head to head with Harley Davidson. Apparently, the power to weight ratio was considerably better than HD. I don't know what it is, but it's awesome! :) Reminds me of the KE125 I had as a kid! Neil

http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/756579/ http://www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Image:1973-kawasaki-g5a.jpg Another telltale is the shift pattern: a rather rare 5 speed with neutral at the *bottom* rather than between 1st and 2nd. ("5 up" shifting) The shift pattern is cast into the side cover next to the lever. I used to work at the Kawasaki shop, too.......

Although I haven't been out riding since Jan 6 (finally got cold in south-central PA), I wanted to post some pics from hard-coal country. Round trip, for me, is 200 miles but this is where my parents are from (Treverton, PA. Great area to ride but great devastation along with the afterglow of a shot and a beer. Racks and bags appear to be holding up fine. Bags are easy to take off. Racks are a different story but the paint is fine (racks were those eBay specials for $80). Please note that the Honda XR650L and KLR (mine) did well with the MEFO Sport99's but the BMW was bad news with the Bridgestone Trail Wings. This is a two square mile area with 300-400 foot tall piles of coal spoil. Tons of ATV's, dune buggies, and bikes riding all over it - kind of dangerous at times. Don R100, A6F (check out pics)
