I thought I had seen this application on a 450 Honda Scrambler, and on a twin Triumph (Trophy?) with scrambler-style pipes. Those were the days that they took any street bike, cut of the mufflers and add trials tires. Budda bing, budda boom: dirt bike. Hmmm. Sounds a little like a KLR.... Not that I ever had any money for such foolishness as modding a perfectly good street bike...but I did have enough money to buy the wish-book (magazines) where such items were featured. revmaaatin.

Mike, Just keep in mind, that what ever you build, don't let it become a harpoon, waiting to 'thrust-you-through' should you and the bike arrive at an intermediate destination, a few nano-seconds apart. revmaaatin.

Sadly...I'm old enough to remember the Snuff-or-Not. A buddy had one on his 67' Kaw 80. It was either closed or shut. There was no adjustment. Cheer's, Tom, Central IL. I thought I had one, but it got sold before I could go look at it. I'm looking for a GENTLY used KLR 650 about 2 or 3 years old. Preferably not in Honda red, but ultimately, I just need (want, same thing, right?) a good bike. I'm currently in Kingsville, but if I get a couple of good pictures, I'm willing to drive a couple hours to go take a peek. Thanks
