I'm using 180-degree opposed double rimlocks on the front and 120-degree doubles on the rear. I found that rimlocks opposite each other on the rear made tire changes too difficult. I could do the tire changes, but after fighting with it twice, I gave up and redrilled the rim. I then needed to add 3-4oz of weight opposite the locks. You have me beat.
Mine is an "88" with 72,000 miles. Although I still have the original
clutch and only did 3 valve adjusments. It does however use oil and I
bought a replacement motor for it. The stock one will be rebuilt to
at least the 685 kit.
Bob.
