The bikes gone (thanks KJ!) but I have three accessories for sale: Corbin Seat It's the flat, no dip seat. It is 18 months old and has less than 1000 miles on it. The color of the seat is red; it matches the red on the 2000 KLR perfectly. Asking $120 plus shipping. Clearview Windscreen It's the largest windscreen that Clearview makes for the KLR. It is 16 1/2" long from the middle mounting hole to the top (mounting hole is lower than the top of the fairing so effective height is slightly less). Asking $60 plus shipping. Highway Pegs Purchased from HappyTrails. Folding pegs and protects the front of the engine. Asking $40 plus shipping. All items in above average condition. I will use any method to ship that you choose. E-mail me with any questions. Thanks, Leon Droby

Still clearing out a few old things. Price is listed without shipping, buyer pays actual shipping cost. Maier aluminum Delux Woods Pro Handguards, with Black XC Handguards. I also have the Renthal adaptor kit so these can be mounted on stock or renthal bars. If mounting on Renthal bars, they'll have to be 'bent' a bit I think, so best if you have access to a vise. For stock bars, they should fit right away. They have a few minor scratches, but are in good shape, barely used. $50 for all of it. Stock handlebars, in good shape, a few light scratches. Still has some remnant of the left grip on there, which needs to be 'razor-bladed' off. $40 plus shipping. These were taken off my bike at 500 miles. Black. Stock front springs (removed from my bike at 100 miles, and oiled). Make me an offer. Stock rear spring (removed and replaced with beefier spring). Make me an offer. Dowco Guardian G-100 cover, size L. Used twice, just too much for what I need. All weather cover, best for someone keeping their bike outside. In perfect shape. $50 plus shipping. Large should fit KLR with all kinds of luggage. Email me if interested: tim@...

swingarm/linkage lubrication

Post by mrodub » Wed Dec 13, 2006 7:12 pm

I lubed my rear suspension in the spring and encountered the same problem. I believe the linkage piece you are referring to is the fulcrum. It attaches the shock, frame and swingarm all together. My frame had "sprung" and the fulcrum was at least 1/8" too big and wouldn't fit back in the frame. Not every frame does it due to slight variances in manufacturing. I just went into the back of my car and got the worthless factory FORD jack. I stuck it up in the frame just below the air box and separated it just enough to squeeze the fulcrum in. Hope this helps!
