jakeman's last doohickey...

Post by btl6847 » Sun Sep 17, 2006 10:54 pm

Before 'ol Jake passed on to better things, we were talking one night about the Doohickey and his trips to Colorado to have the new shop take over making it from him. I asked him if he had any of his originals left, and he said "Yes, I have one last one left" I told him I wanted it, even though I had no KLR (sold my '98 a few years ago). Well, cue to 14 months after his passing and I finally have a home for Dave Jakeman's last Doohickey (I am just going by what he personally told me). I purchased a low mile 2005 bone stock to molest and set up as the ultimate Utah tourer, including the signature Pelican cases that Jake loved so much. Next year, I'm gonna ride all the haunts in style Jake, with the last piece of your workings within my engine... Y'all get used to me, because I am back. Brian

KLR isn't just a bike, its a culture. "KLR'in" is the addiction that goes along with it. I don't want do know the cure. Obviously selling the bike isn't the answer! KLRON. Mike Peplinski A15- "Quasimodo"
