Hi, I'm new to the group and I have a question. Does anyone have a soultion to the buzzing-rattling-squeaking fairing on my 2002 model? All the fasteners are there and tight. I was going to try taking everything apart and re assembling it using rubber or plastic washers. any better ideas out there? Thanks, Biker2blue

hi, i too have a 2002 klr650, but mine does not seem to rattle very much at all, if any. Has your bike been layed down a couple of times? The only way i can think of fixing the problem is to use rubber washers. I do it everytime i take a screw off the bike. If you look at the dr650se's, you will notice almost all bolts are rubber mounted, and the bike hardly makes a sound. Electric smooth. So that is the only thing i can think of, shouldnt take to long to R'n'Ring the fairing screws. Arent there only like 6 or something? Anyway, best of luck, i'm interested to see what others reccomend as well. -markus

I noticed that as well. I didn't want to say anything because the lift principle is good nonetheless. On the otherhand, when my KLR falls over, I hope it only goes as far over as in the posted pictures. Maybe a set of side air bags actuated by lean angle will be necessary. I found a 2002 KLR that looks pretty good to me. I have been out of motorcycles and was thinking this would be a good way to get back in. My last 2 were Honda 750 Shadow and Honda CR 480. Any viewpoints good or bad on the 2002 KLR? [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
