A-15 Has 2300 miles and the back tire is balled. Is there a better replacement tire? My only complaint is it didn't last long enough. Is there a good place on line to by one? Thanks for any advice, Hubbard738 2001 A-15, 2001XR200, 98TRX300, 96TRX300

What's the normal mileage for the factory tire Dunlop K750 ?? . I bought a used KLR650 (1300 miles 10 months left on factory warranty) last week, it now has a few over 2000. Was just wondering about tire wear and replacement tires. Any information will be appreciated. John [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Probably depends on how you ride. I got less than 3000 miles out of my stock rear tire, but I also ride pretty hard, so I chew them up. I put on my third rear tire, counting stock tire as number 1 just before I hit 6000 miles. I have heard of some guys getting close to 7000 miles....depends on the tire, and your riding habits. Just my two cents worth...if it's worth that much... lol Lance A17 Missouri --- john@... wrote:

Got about 3000 on them and spooned on Kenda K-270's with UHD/HD tubes. At 3000 the rear was toast, so bad there was no way I would ride it off-road, the front has rubber, but sucks offroad anyway. Tires are your pick, many are out there that fit, just depends on what you want and where you ride or place your priority. Dooden A15 Green Ape

Ive got a little over 3000 mi on mine now and it is pretty much shot. Im going to try and get 4000 before i change it though. I use mine for a 40 mi round trip comute on country roads and hwy. Was looking at replacing with perelli scorpions.

Hi, I changed the rear tire on my KLR650 and now there is a clicking sound that seems to be coming from the rear wheel bearings. I tried to put everything back the way it came out but maybe I missed something. Any idea. Thanks.
