has anyone tried the gel seat cover from www.tpi motorcycle wholsellers for $129 i've only had stock or corban seats on any of my motorcycles

Not sure what url you were trying to point to. If you're referring to the Travelcade/Saddleman product I just installed one and I like it so far. I'll have a better report on it later this month as I'll be making my way down to the Bay Area on it. http://www.saddlemen.com/dualsportindex.html

Hi Hal, What bike did you ride that used the Corbin seat? Was it on the KLR? What did you think of the Corbin seat? pros/cons? If it was on a KLR, asking the question infers (to me) that you are not or may not be satisfied with this application. Why, or why not the dissatisfaction? IF the Corbin is OK, why ask about this seat cover? Why not buy what you are previously satisfied with? Just curious. Would love to ride a Corbin seat before I pull the trigger on one. There is nothing worse than buying products of this $ value without a test ride. revmaaatin

Rev, like you I was hesitant to spring for the Corbin before trying one. I had a Corbin on my '83 Vision, and loved it, but at the time I lived about an hour away from their shop. Fortunately I got to try out Blake's KLR with the flat Corbin. I didn't care much for it as it made it feel too much like I was sitting on the seat rather than in it. It also didn't fit the thighs as well as the stock. So I figured for $129 I'd try the Saddleman even though I hadn't ridden on one, mostly going off of a lister describing it as being somewhere between stock and the Corbin. I have to say that description is spot on. It feels much like the stock seat only it supports much better. Like I said earlier, I'll have a much better report on it later this month. I know you don't have anything else to do right now other than dream about adding new farkle, but hang on for the full report. Well apparently I'm not as bright as I thought I was. When I was responding to posts I was responding to the person and not the group. So anyone that received a response directed at then alone, sorry. I think I've got this silly stuff sorted out. On to my question, I saw a post where Eagle Mike was going to have the torsion spring doo-hickey available soon. If anyone knows this to be true, please let me know as I'm holding off doing the change until I hear something.( I really like the idea of a torsion instead of a coil ) thanks, Dennis.
