Ah....is the Miata big enough for supply missions to the package store ? Bogdan, who appreciates fine machinery like his gas stingy 98 Escort wagon.

tire size-will 140/80x17" fit on rear?

Post by Doug Krogel » Wed Apr 19, 2006 1:53 pm

Brian, I put a Mitas E 09 on my bike this spring, I have about 1000 Km on it now and it's great. I had to trim a bit of the lower chain guard of because it was rubbing on the tire and would catch when I tried to back up. Other than that no clearance problems. Very nice tire on the road and hooks up well off road as well. It sounds like a lot of the KLR riders on the Island are running the MItas - from the DualsportBC store. I'm running a Pirelli MT21 on the front. Doug
