Lol,
You didn't start it, it was already going.
Just a friendly warning though - I wouldn't ever mention anything
about what the 'best' oil for a M/C is, what the 'best' tire for the
KLR is, what firearm is the 'best' to ride with or how cute and cuddly
Pitbulls are....

Dang this thread. I won't sleep a wink tonight knowing I'm about to
mount a Chinese product on my Japanese bike.

My stock Dunlop tires even say "Made in Thialand". It does seem to
be a Pacific-Rim bike. Harleys are still made (100%) in the USA,
aren't they but they? But they don't go off-road more than 50 - 100
ft.

I read an article a coupla years ago about made in America. The
Harley Sportster, about 1 / 3 rd of it was made in Japan. Suspension,
carburator, lights etc. I also heard the Gold Wing was made entirely
in the USA.

My Harley was "built" here in the good old USA, but a lot of the
parts they put on down there in York, PA came from across the Pacific
somewhere (carb, brakes, fork and ??? else). The Honda CBR 1000F I had
was "built" in Ohio but I expect that a lot of those parts (the whole
engine/trans ?) were imported. Hardley anything is made anywhere
(seems anything with more than 3 parts is made "everywhere"), that's
the way buisiness is done these days. To any diehard "it has to be
made here to be any good" H-D fans (no disrespest intended, I love my
FXDX) don't look at the label on ANY of the accessories hanging on the
wall, they all say made in China.
JMHO, I think that there are good and bad products coming from
everywhere, wish I could tell just by the label which was which.

Hi Guys we are two riders going from Miami to Panama, round trip of
about 10,000 miles on KLR650 . if you are looking to join for a part or
the all trip let us know and maybe we could meet. We should go in
September or October and plan the daily ride to be about 300miles
minimum. We are also looking for KLR650 nerf bar ,saddle rack from HT
and also dash board so if any have some for sale email us.
