Sad to say I've been relegated to the pages of Rider magazine for my BAja
adventures. For this poor sap the biggest off roading I do is my 125 foot
gravel driveway and an occassional sprint through a farm field. I hope to
get to some fire lanes in the forests this summer but have to drive over a
hundred miles to get to the areas that allow motor vehicles. My exposure to
Mexico has been the Cancun region. Even there I gained a new respect for the
people.

The Visipath unit that I used is rated to 115 watts.

As well as I can figure it the problem with a larger bulb is that it melts
the socket. The Visipath unit replaces the socket with their own socket. The
"upgrade" modulator (same price as the standard) is rated at 115 watts. Not
to be picky but they are all rated at 12 volts.

oil for the forks
I think the textbook answer is: what is the viscosity of the
suspension fluid (fork/shock oil) at the ambient temp. and/or
suspension-component operating temp.
A multigrade suspension fluid may be a better all-around/season fluid
for those who ride in a wide range of ambient temperatures; thats
probably why Kaw. recommends 10W-20 (Kayaba G-10) fluid for the front
fork.
Just my 1/100th of a cent.
