I still have Tweety, she's tucked away, cold and lonely in a dark corner of my garage. I'll see to it that she's punished severely for your snide remarks sir. You have 24 hours to issue a retraction or Tweety will die! ===== Kaw A-13, Gone but not fur-gotten; Yam xs850lg, suz 450gs,suz 250gs, Yam yz250, CZ400, Suz RM370, CZ250, Yam yz125, Hon 175, Hod 100spr.rat, Hod 100ace, Hon T90, Hon t70, Hon 50mt, Rupp 5hp Mini __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Are any of the aftermarket exhausts U.S. Forest Service approved spark arresters? Around here, if you get caught in the woods without the arresters, its big bucks. I am the new owner of a 2002 Kawasaki KLR650. I'm sure this has been addressed 100's of times in the past, but I am a new member, so please bear with me:) Has anyone had experience with adding an aftermarket exhaust (Supertrapp, for example) and NOT re-jetting the carb or altering the air filter/airbox? I'm not really interested so much in maximum performance, but better looks and a healthier sound. I just wondered if this setup would actually hurt performance or the bike. Thanks for any advice!

I had a two bros racing can on mine for a year without changing anything, then I drilled out the plug and went 2 .5 turns out (total) on the mixture screw and whammo no more backfiring and i kicked myself in the ass for waiting that long. Dale

Just bought new 06 KLR650 and I really like it so far, just wish it had a little more grunt. This is a first post for me. I've owned 2 XR650L's in the past. They were great bikes and took well to modifications. I would like to know if anyone can tell me if I should really invest the money to do the usual Airbox, Jetting, Exhaust upgrades that I've always done on all my other bikes? From what I've been reading so far, the KLR does nothing much with these upgrades. I hope to hear that this is false. If so, can someone recommend a good slip-on. I love the big gun but don't want to spend that type of money if the gain won't be significant? JardineRT four VS Supertrapp ISD2??? Any Info would be much appreciated. I will be sure to post my findings on this bike as I start to get into it. Thanks. Erik
