Someone else suggested you duck - pro'lly a good idea! That said: The fact that you call your self "Joey" and are asking how to create something that increases the risk of all of us loosing our right to ride shows a fair amount of immaturity on your part. Please think about it. Louder bikes MAY have an infinitesimally small amount of increase in usable horsepower but that comes at the risk of further pissing off the public at large, giving them an even more negative opinion of "bikers". The worse that opinion is, the easier it is for us to loose riding areas and even have on-street areas closed to us. I fully believe that anyone who accepts that trade off is very selfish. If you are prepping your bike for a track or somewhere that you are expected to be loud the foregoing doesn't apply. But then it is a KLR, not something likely to be your main track bike. Hi, This can be a hot subject. I use Big Gun on both my KLR and KLX, you can choose and alternate between quiet and race cores <94Db or a lot more. There is a noticable improvement in power when rejetted to suit the pipe, with or without airbox mods. They also look very good with their durable ceramic coating. The latest type is much improved over the earlier version ( early on KLR latest on KLX) Others will recommend Superetrapp, Laser, No one will recommend Cobra. I'm almost afraid to respond to this but I run a Big Gun with the race core and I LOVE it. I've got the quiet core too and use it on occasion but you can definitely feel a difference and loss of snap. The Big Gun has some known issues, first and foremost being you have to keep it packed or the can will start to separate at the rivets. But my experience with BG customer service has always been good, they replaced the first pipe I melted down for free. As far as noise goes, put me down in the loud pipes a plus column. DUCK! Here it comes!
