klr - tires (again !)

Post by Paul Ricketts » Fri Nov 18, 2005 7:18 am

I know there's been some discussion recently about favorite tires, but I haven't seen any comments about Michelins. I have been very satisfied with their car tires (getting more than 80,000 miles on some) and was wondering if anyone has purchased mc tires and been equally satisfied. Late in life I have finally learned that you basically get what you pay for, and I am no longer that interested in savings a few bucks to sacrifice quality. Any feedback would be appreciated. --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

You don't always get what you pay for. Harley-Davidson immediately comes to mind. That said, Michelin makes some good motorcycle tires. I run the Michelin Pilot Powers on my ZX-10R and am very satisfied with their performance and quality. On the other hand I run Pirelli MT80 STs on my KLR650 and Metzler M1 Sportecs on my ZX-6R. Paul, there's an excellent collection of comments on KLR tires at http://www.mindspring.com/~mssilverstein/motorcycles/klr650/tires/ index.html>, including some of my comments on the Michelin Anakees that I'm currently running. -- Blake Sobiloff http://sobiloff.typepad.com/> San Jose, CA (USA)

Jennifer always liked Bogdan best. And Fred and Gino too. Later we found out she might have been stalking a guy in Pasadena, or maybe it was Redondo Beach, trying to score free parts. Fireball
