I am looking for a set of aluminum bars that are most like the stock
ones in terms of dimensions. Which ones do you all use? Will aluminum
bars cut back much on the vibes~~~~????~~~~~ Thanks, Dave>>>

which aluminum bars?
Hi Dave,
I recently installed a set of Renthal 666 bars on mine - 7/8 twin walls.
The width is the same as factory KLR bars; the rise is slightly lower
(approx. 1 inch), the sweep is about the same, and they have the same long
crossbar...on which I mount all kinds of goodies - about $60.00 retail. I
also added brass inserts to help reduce the vibration.
Cheers,
Scott

which aluminum bars?
Hey David,
I also replaced my bent stock bars with the Renthal 666 bars.I filled
mine up with silicone caulking and added 1 inch risers.I love mine.So
much less vibration that the stock bars.
I also have maier handguards and I had to make a crossmember about
1/2 inch longer to accomodate the maier handguards.
Regards,Gary

Scott,
How do you compare the Renthal 666 bars to stock for vibration?
What about before and after for the brass inserts?

new smugmug site
I have started a new Smugmug site with some of the pictures I've taken
in the 13,000 miles I've but on my KLR 650 so far this year. Enjoy!
