The strange things that amuse us when we ride. I had great fun yesterday after discovering an interesting resonant relationship on my KLR. Stopped at a red light, I thought I recognized the driver behind me in the mirror. But the mirrors were vibrating too much to see clearly. As I often do, I just reached up with a gloved finger of my right hand and touched the right mirror, to stop it vibrating. Then I noticed that the left mirror wasn't vibrating. Experiment, experiment... It turns out that if you touch *either* mirror, *both* stop vibrating. For the rest of the ride home, I amused myself with this new revelation at all the red lights.
