I am from beemerland. I have upgraded to a KLR. I used to have a gps
but the GS wasn't really a trailie. I LOVE my 2002 killer. Love.
YES. Ex beemerphile. Go figure. But true to the KLR psyche I'm
guessing that a full-on automotive Garmin monster isn't the KLR style.
So what are the pragmatic and reasonable KLR folks using - both units
AND mounting hardware.
Note I would like autorouting but would be happy with a really nice
memory base and capability to import manufacturers topo-offroad-city
maps to the unit with pre-planned routes done on the PC but with
onroad capability to modify route.
I know I'm a lazy a$$hole but I bet someone here has sorted this out!
Thanks.

We have this wonderful stuff up here in the north called "Yooper Tape" claimed to hold in speeds up to 100 MPH and beyond. That would work to cover the side hole well at least. It even comes in multiple colors these days. So your running that bike with no air filter ? Co-worker working on a old Gold Wing says it pops on decel really bad, he thinks just one cyclinder.. then a few minutes later says he is running with no air filter.... Could it be just its running too lean... Speaking of which gotta open mine back up me thinks its getting plugged again... noticed some carbon on the fender yesterday. Had to chime in on this one. I had a Garmin 76CS that I thought would
be perfect for my F650 ... when I crashed back in April it got 'whacked'
... I did find the screen to be too small and I went with the Garmin
276CS with a 128 meg chip .. I can load about 1/2 of the USA into it.
The screen is much bigger and so much easier to see. I would never go
back to a smaller screen now. Check it out on the Garmin site.
Also, I use the Ram mounts that seem to work really well and I can
switch the 276CS between bikes .. the unit comes with a car mount and I
use it in my work truck on a daily basis ..
If anybody out there has a Garmin 76 or 76CS I have a Ram mount and some
power cords that I would gladly sell at a very reasonable price.
