any help for a newbie

Post by joe hayes » Wed Aug 17, 2005 7:58 pm

I recently, after looking for quite a while for an affordable dual sport, purchased an 85 klr 600. I've been an avid motocrosser and street rider for years. I thought i'd give dual sport a try, but I didn't want to spend much until I'm sure i'll be into it.Anyway I know the 600 is a bit less modern than the 650 but other than that I know very little about them. I really hope I didn't mess up, but the seasons getting short and like I said I didn't pay much. Does anyone out there have any info on this bike and what kind of things I can do to make it the best it can be? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks jvh025 --------------------------------- Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Ed, That is your cue. :-) Rick A17 will gilmore wrote: I plan to continue using my mount (A12)as my primary summertime transportation until it or I no longer produce torque. If it gives out before I do, I'll probably buy another. Will the installation of a supertrap or other performance enhancing exhaust shorten, entend or have no affect on the life of my bikes engine? Thanks to all, especially Fred for getting us out of that last thread unscathed.
