using footpeg to mount bike?

Don, The ONLY way you can end up facing the WRONG way is if you put your LEFT foot on the right footpeg...! OK - repeat after me: The right side has the throttle and both brakes, the left side has the clutch and shifting duties...! ;>) Ed

Jud, The DIFFERENCE is that you're starting from about 10" higher when you use the right peg! Ed

Ed Of all the subjects to ever be discussed on this list "how to get on your bike" has to be the absolute lamest of all time. Can't we get back to a good oil thread or something! My favorite way to mount the KLR is to walk up to the left side, and swing my right leg over the seat and onto the ground. I have a 35 inch inseam. I couldn't resist. :>) Rick A17 Krgrife@... wrote: In a message dated 8/5/2005 9:53:05 A.M. Pacific Standard Time, fasteddiecopeman@... writes:

Same here, 'cept my inseam is 30/31. I start with the kickstand down and when I'm on I'm balacing with the toe of my size 13 shoes. No problemo on firm ground. Not in 20's physical shape either. Maybe I need to get off road! Jim A17
