Ewwww, demented! But I can top that... My mother was a country music fan, so subjected me to the Great Works -- Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Tom T. Hall, Charlie Pride, Kenny Rogers, etc. Of that, Tom T. Hall's _Old Dogs and Children_ and Kenny Roger's _The Gambler_ stand out as the world's sappiest, most maudline tunes that played every day for days upon end in our household, to the point where the entire family was in insulin shock from the pure syrupy sweetness of it all. After that experience, I swore off country music forever. Well, until I started writing it, of course. But that's another story. -E

I have very freeky senses of smell and hearing, very acute. WHen I hear any song I have heard before I am hurled back to I guess when I first heard it, same with smells. You name the tune, and I will tell you where I was at the time. Yeah im a freek. As a kid, it was Rock and Roll only, period, it complimented the chemical mixture du jour that was flowing through my body at the time. In my old age though, I find usefullness for most every type of music, cept perhaps for Opera. But then I think anyone who likes Opera prolly thinks Caviar tastes good. Sean A-18, IpodMini with sony soft ear buds, any 1G of songs ranging from Mott the Hoople to Norah Jones to Shaggy. Ride Safe, but for Gods sake ride.. --- "Eric L. Green" wrote:

I think the first album I wore out from repeated playing was Edgar Winter Group, They only come out at night. Song was Frankenstein. I loved the stereo effects on that song. Early on I appreciated live recordings the most, Deep Purple Made in Japan was another Favorite. Steppenwolf-born to be wild and magic carpet ride. Seeing the Grateful Dead at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ at the age of 16 was when I got on the bus, as they say. Conall

Pink Floyd - The Wall, and in stark contrast a lot of things by Herbie Hancock when I 'found' them around the same time. A bit unbalanced, er yes, I , er my music collection is out there.
