klr 650 (2004) rims

Post by Ryan Beckes » Wed May 25, 2005 10:11 am

Hi Folks, I'm looking for a set of rims so I can swap out my dirt/street tires easily. The OEM's are _really_ expensive and I can't seem to find aftermarket tires for the klr 650 anywhere. Has anyone found any?? Thanks, Ryan

Yes, Delrin (Acetal / POM) spacers would be a good choice - probably better than PVC. Other common materials: Good: Nylon, UHMW PE, Ultem, PEEK, PES (last 3 are expensive) OK: Polyproplyene, HDPE (both materials will easily handle the oil but strength is an issue) No Good: Polycarbonate (Lexan), ABS, any Styrenic
