Well you are going to get all kinds of replies I bet... For me, my A15 did'nt start starting good until I opened up the pilot circuit on the carb. Factory had it set pretty darn lean, turned out 2 ~ 2 1/4 turns from seated needle and bike starts easier, runs a bit cooler. Of course this requires drilling out the steel cap and pulling it ou tto get to the needle on the underside of the carb, but that was easy for me. Removed the choke cable on the handlebar, loosened the carb boots and carefully rotated the carb to make the bottom face the shifter side so I could get a drill at it. (Watch for the cables) put a small hole in the cap and ran a small sheet metal screw in it and pulled it out with pliers. Many sources of info online, will not get detailed here. Dooden A15 Green Ape Oh can we stop with the HD bashing... I love to jab at some guys also, but every message.. come on folks a bike is a bike.

Yeah, I am geting lots of different ideas on this. But this one sounds like something I want to try, since it is something I have consistenly heard (lean jetting from the factory. It also makes sense to me. And it doesn't seem all tht involved. I won't lie, I love knowing how they work, but I'd just as soon not have to work on it too much if I don't have to. I'd rather be riding! That being said, I do plan on babying this lovely beast in hopes that it, in turn, takes care of me when we're out in the middle of nowhere.

mine seems to like running a little hot, too, so maybe this will help me there as well...thanks a lot! I am loving this group already! Gabe A19 - Tucson

With the crap weather on Saturday, wouldn't you have rather buzzed around the forest with us instead of sitting in the cold drizzle watching your gun barrel rust? Don't worry, in the future it looks like I will be moving NOAB to July or August because of my new job. Mark
