Most of the Low fenders I have sold never needed any "cutting". If you are referring to the information from this site: http://www.cs.princeton.edu/~lbauer/klr/low-fender/ the fender was cut because Lujo was installing a fork brace to work with this fender. I didn't have to do any cutting on my UFO fender from Fred. In fact, I installed one on my A7 before I sold her, and then installed one on my A16. Don't be afraid of the one from Fred.. Ron in MN

I'm curious about the effects of the low vs. the high fender on stability/protection from spray/clogging with mud/unsprung weight, etc. Can you list or describe any tangible effects you detected once you mounted the low fender? Thanks, Mike A18

Thanks for the info, Maybe I was reading the site wrong, as I thought it said even bikes without fork braces had to do some cutting. I'll trust those of you that know and get one from Fred when they come in. Thanks Dave Oregon

I got received a low front fender that I ordered. Has anyone else out there installed one? My question: Can you bolt the fender bracket directly on the rubber fork gaiters, or should I slide the gaiters up, and mount the fender bracket directly to the fork leg?
