All you need to do is brace an open end/box end wrench between the
teeth on the front sprocket and the skid plate(if you have the heavy
duty aluminum skid plate)
I remmeber struggling with my KLR the first time i ever tried to
replace the sprocket.I ended using a giant sized C clamp to hold the
chain to the swing arm so i could remove the countershaft nut.
Then the next time i had the bright idea to just brace an open
end/box end wrench between the teeth on the sprocket and the skid
plate. That is so much easier than anything else i have seen or heard
tell of.

overheating..well the gauge read high but it feels cool
I recently got a 94 KLR 650 and it seems to get warm, the temp guage
rides at the high end of the bracket but the motor doesn't feel that
warm. I was wondering if anybody has any problems with the sensor or
should take the thermosthat out and test it. After one rid the
spedometer quick working as well. It is stuck at 2OMPH. The odometer
works but the needle is froze. Anybody have a fix?
