Maybe Orange County Motosports knows something about
"Up coming Best Dual Sport"......
WVDoran
If you can buy before the end of FEB, Orange Co
Motorsports will sell you a brand new KLR650 for
$4,999 OTD, yes that includes tax, license, freight.
They only make $100 off each bike and make it up
in volume I guess. markII

What is going to be really wild with that one, is the dual-fuel
retrofit kit that basically bolts on turbo diesel capability.
They have designed the injectors to be modular so it's a nearly
instant swap for diesel and a simple toggle on the control module to
switch mappings.
I wonder if IMS will make a rear rack tank so you could run a bit of
both for long trips?

Check Kawi's web site! I'm never going to buy the new 650!!! It has a shaft
drive and I refuse to give up my ability to wheelie!!!

You can wheelie? Moving from the CR500 to the KLR has stripped me from
front end hijinx.

Rev it an pop the clutch. It 'll will come up. Takes a little practice
and I don't always do one but have had the front end so high it
concerned me. It ain't no CR 500. That one and the KX 500 will wheelie
anytime anywhere with very little effort.

Personally, if a supposedly 337 lb bike (dry) with questionable doohickey
needs the clutch popped to get the front wheel off the ground (about as high
as John Candy could jump), I wouldn't claim it to be capable. Hmmmm. Maybe
this is how the rumor gets started about KLR's out cornering crotch
rockets.......
Maybe nitrous would help.
Also, the thread about putting a KX500 motor in the KLR, gots me a thinkin:
I have a CR500....and a KLR....pull over the 500 motor....and the 48mm
shocks...and brakes....rear suspension...ah heck, just put the KLR tank on
the CR.

Personally all I was saying is it will wheelie but not near as easy as
a KX 500. It takes practice. Any fool can wheelie a KX 500 or the CR.
Thats why they sell a lot of rear fenders for them.
