Yesterday on my way to work I was doing 70 in the carpool lane on the 60 freeway in so cal. I hit a car jack and my front tire went flat immediately. I could not control the bike and was heading towards the wall. I was slowing down as quickly as possible I finally lost it when I was doing 30. When I went down all I could think was that someone was going to run me over. So before I even stopped sliding I jumped up and ran towards the wall.. Nobody hit my bike or me. I have some road rash on my arm and leg and have some bruised ribs. 3 people stopped within the first minute after I fell the first one called the police. The second asked me if i needed to call someone so i called my wife and told her i was ok but was in an accident. The 3rd had a pickup and offered to put my bike in it and get me out of the middle of the freeway. Well He did more than that we wrestled the bike in the back of his truck and when we were driving he offered to take me home (about 30 miles in the opposite direction he was going ). Well I ended up just having him drop me and my bike off at the hospital near my house. Ohh The bike is ok too I think. I snapped a bolt on the peg-mounting bracket and broke a blinker light. But that's about it.. Thanks for letting me ramble. Dale

Sounds like your bike fared better in this freeway incident than in some of your off-road exploits, no? Quick recovery to you and your bike, bro. dat brooklyn bum
