Er ... fighting for oil is not against this countries interests. You think the job situation is bad now, just wait until all the religious fanatics control most of it in the Mid East (and from all I 've observed they are trying as hard as they can). In places like Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Chechnya, Iraq, already do in Iran. Venezuela's government is not to friendly to us at this time (our forth largest supplier last I checked). Bicycles to ride 20 to 30 miles to work anyone? Candles to read by? Computers to run .... Hah! Criswell hoping this government of ours will finally get real and drill on the North slope of Alaska, develop a hydrogen car (instead of going to the moon or Mars), and use wind power (even if the fans kill birds). The bastards are trying to bring us down. Sober up. sparky_nv wrote:

Ron, I think that as soon as one of the parties decide to address the fule issue we will see that we don't need to be in the middle east. The sad thing is no party is even talking about doing something about it. And don't get me started on the Greens, these morons would have us all walking. Denis

Perhaps sometime soon the legendary Freeway HMV will have its long- awaited day in the sun. Should that time ever come, there is one in my back yard, waiting, waiting... http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/freewayhmv/?yguid=134437470

There is no oil in Fallujah, Samara, and Baghdad. The oil is all in the north and south of Iraq, not in the middle. Our soldiers aren't dying in Fallujah and Baghdad for oil. I'm not sure why they're there, but it's not for oil. If it was for oil, I would have voted for Bush II, the way I voted for Bush I in 1992. Iraq War I was definitely about the oil, Kuwait's oil -- and I had no problem with that at all. Iraq War II... anybody have a clue what that one's all about? -E

A 90 year-old gentleman, very well dressed, hair well groomed, great looking suit, flower in his lapel smelling slightly of a good after shave, presenting a well looked after image, walks into an upscale cocktail lounge. Seated at the bar is an elderly looking lady in her mid eighties. The gentleman walks over, sits along side of her, orders a drink, takes a sip, turns to her and says, "So tell me, do I

A man walked into a mens' clothing shop wearing only a parrot, chained to his nose. The salesman approaced him and asked what he could do to the man in selecting a new set of clothes. The man said "wait a minute, I need to ask my parrot, I consult him about everything I do". After consulting with the parrot chained to his nose, the man asked for a moment to step outside and talk to the parrot in private. The sales man replied that would be just fine and to let him know when he was ready to make his decision. Moments later tha man walked back into the haberdashery and the salesman noticed the parrot was gone. He inquired, "what happened to your parrot?" The customer replied, "

Two men walk into a bar... You'd think one of them would have seen it in time. K --- monahanwb wrote:
