So, Then what your saying ois you have no proof of what your saying other then that " I don't listen to him much, and I've heard him" Sounds like your full of it. In this day and age of the internet I'd at least assume you'd have a .mp3 of him saying it. Thats like the same llama's that came out this week saying Edwards was the reason all the drug companies stopped making Flu vac's here in the US. I don't mnd people calling out things other people have said, but I do mind people doing it and not having proof. Cheers, Denis

No problem.. Don't see it has a battle, just a debate. I guess I may have started it by saying Rush was not fat.. Denis

There are a million sites about Limbaugh, just google "limbaugh drug indictment" or "limbaugh addict comment" or "limbaugh drug comment" or anything similar. The hard part is to sift through the sites that either think he sh*ts gold bricks, or that think he's Judas Iscariot reincarnated. There are a few that seem to have a more neutral position, and these are the ones that usually have transcripts quotes or references to newspaper articles. Devon denis@... wrote:

It's a sad day when people forget that Limbaugh is only on the air to entertain people. I did look at snopes.com and they didn't have a lot on Limbaugh. But as you pointed out, Google is painful at times to use. Thanks Denis

As a disc jockey and producer, I agree that his show is really just "for entertainment purposes only." Just as is Howard Stern, Dr. Laura, Michael Reagan, Al Franken, ad nauseum. They are extremes to the n-th degree, created by handlers to make the most noise. And they are human (sort of). Drug addiction can happen to anyone, so can changing your mind (currently called flip-flopping). Rush railed against drug addicts, and in true come uppance fashion, became what he reviled. Dr. Laura is probably a closet lesbian, Michael Reagan votes green, and Howard Stern has a thing for sweaty bald men from Alabama. But whatever the closets hold secret, don't expect the public to ignore their contradictions. Cheerio- Kelly --- denis@... wrote:

nklr ca gun laws /why carry???

Post by Giorgio Trucco » Thu Oct 28, 2004 11:52 am

None of the numerous gun carriers here pursuant to their right to selfdefense concerned about defending themselves from the lack of freedom of speech at work, were people live in terror of being fired, due to the absence of a fair labor legislation? None concerned about their wifes job security and length of the maternity leave while pregnant? In my country the maternity leave is 15 months with 85% of the salary, with the position secured by law. Here is what... 6 weeks without pay? I think that a fair labor legislation that put people over profit would protect myself and my family much more than a gun. None concerned how to defend themsleves from a rotten healthcare system where your health is not your and your doctor business, but a bunch of stock holders business?? None ready to uprise armed against the oligarchy that runs our lifes in this country pursuant to their right to screw us up for their own profit? And to answer an earlier question: No I don't have an issue with the fact that people can carry guns. It's just something that I don't choose to do and don't understand why other people do. I don't understand their list of priorities when it comes to "protect themseleves". Selfedefense is a broad term that can be interpreted in numerous ways, and it carries far reaching inplications that go way beyond the strict legal meaning. We have a difference in the way we interpret it. PS.: this will be my last post on this topic, that I enjoyed a lot BTW, because I know that I'm the absolute minority here with the above arguments, and next time I post a question about my KLR leaking coolant liquid, I'd like to still be able to get an asnwer from all of you guys... :-))) Ciao. This varies wildly, by company. Where my wife used to work, it was three months paid at full salary, and another 9 months unpaid with a job waiting for you when you got back. Some places give you nothing, which does not inspire a loyal workforce. As for the carry business, I would sooner walk around with an idling chainsaw strapped to my hip. Almost as dangerous as a firearm, and almost as fun as a firearm when you're out in the woods away from other people.

I seriously doubt that. You are dangerously underestimating CA Stu's trolling skills. Devon Brooklyn.
