I think synthetic oil is a liberal plot against Haliburton.

Yup. It's a big left wing conspiracy. I actually throw
whole packs of McDonald's fries into the KLR and get
over 200 miles to the gallon. Runs a bit rough but
what the hell, I smell like fries, and that gets the
ladies.

nklr ca gun laws /why carry???
A bunch of peasants armed with AK 47's, some rockets and mortars sure did a number on the United States 30 years ago. With all
our B -52's, fighter planes, high tech weapons and Navy we did not conquer them or change their minds.
The Jews in the Warsaw ghetto armed with almost nothing certainly got the attention of the might of the Nazi's as did Tito's
guerillas in Yugoslavia. I think determined people with sufficient arms can sure put up one hell of a fight to even a well armed
larger force. Chairman Mao certainly wrote the book on this type of war fare. Knowing all of this does make me nervous as to the
present situation in Iraq. But I believe we are at war with radical Islam and I don't think peaceful negotiation will work with
religious fanatics.
The Jews before and during World War ll had no weapons and look what happened to them. I would imagine the survivors of all that
....... ethnic cleansing ............ may be well armed today. Israel is certainly well armed today wouldn't you say.
Europe is a nice place today. I have been there on 4 separate trips. I hope it stays that way. 3 of my uncles fought in WW2. One
died, one was in a POW camp for a couple of years, the other one came back unscathed. Had armed resistance started when Hitler
first came to power or had the French attacked when Hitler left his whole western flank open while he had his way with Poland,
we would all have a merrier Christmas. I don't want to sacrifice any more of my family in Europe because people don't want to
stand up to dictators or oppression until it is to late.
I have seen one Michael Moore movie (Roger and me) and I won't see any of his latest. It is pretty easy to be a hatchet man.

I agree with you 100% on this. However, it won't be
long before they bring the guerilla warfare to our
soil. 9/11 was just the first volley. It will not get
any better. We can't overtake a religion, ANY religion
with force. The only solution is the killer asteroid
looming in the distance.

Anybody know a good firing range in the South SF Bay area where I can take my shotgun and fire off a couple boxes of shells to get reacquainted with my weapon of choice? In particular, putting multiple shots into a target is an art with this guy (classic B.F. Mossberg 12 ga. 5 shot pump circa 1964), since it kicks like a mule and rides upwards, meaning you have to wait for it to fall back down on target before squeezing off the next shot. I used to be pretty good at it, able to make a plastic jug dance across my back pasture, but, alas, haven't had much time to practice since I left Louisiana... - Eric the Libertarian Gun Owner> "But I believe we are at war with radical > Islam and I don't think peaceful negotiation will work > with > religious fanatics." > > I agree with you 100% on this.

16 Dec 1994 On his daily radio show, conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh declares: "We have alcoholics and drug addicts in our society, don't we? And what do we say about them? We totally exempt them from any control over their lives, do we not? Some athlete will spend two years snorting lines of coke. 'He can't help it. You know, it's -- it's just -- it's not -- it's -- it's genetic. These people -- they're predisposed to having this addictive syndrome. They -- they can't help.' Yeah, like that line of cocaine just happened to march into the hotel, go up to the athlete's room and put itself right there in front of him on his blotter." 5 Oct 1995 "What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too." 2 Oct 2003 Reports surface that Limbaugh is being investigated by the Florida State Attorney General's office in Palm Beach County, for his abuse of Oxycontin, Lorcet and hydrocodone prescription painkillers. The source for the story is Wilma Cline, a former housekeeper and also alleged source of the drugs. She claims to have obtained Limbaugh 4,350 pills over a 47 day period. An unnamed source at the State Attorney's office confirmed the story to the New York Daily News. I like the "too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff" part, man did he get that part right. Devon>Never heard him lay into any addicts, can you back that up? > >

Do you have an issue with the fact that people can carry guns? Or is
it just something that you don't choose to do and don't understand
why other people do? I don't want to get into gun issues to deep on
this board, simply because that's not why we're here. And I
DEFINATELY am not going to discuss Mr. Moore's films...
Good times though, 'eh? : ) See you in Julian!

nklr ca gun laws /why carry???
The very fact that no other country has ever come
ashore since the revolutionary war is testament to why
we should carry arms. Woe be to ye who come to this
nation to do harm to it's people. For from every
mount, and ever village shall come such a volley as
you will never imagine. Freedom is not free, it is
earned. Many European Nations would benefit from this
knowledge. That a child should perish as a result of
playing with a handgun is much akin to the same child
finding a can of gasoline. Both in the hands of the
ignorant, are equally as dangerous, in fact the
gasoline being far more deadly.
