nklr blast from the past

Post by Sarah Dilling » Thu Oct 07, 2004 9:55 am

Hi all, Just wanted to check in with the old-timers. Got married 5-10-2003. Had a baby 8-27-04. Sold the KLR a week ago. It'd become my husband's learner bike, and I rarely rode it even before the baby. The CBR is still in my possession. However, it's currently vacationing by the beach with a friend who has a locked garage and rides it every now and then for me. Once I figure out how this durn baby works, I'll get back on the bike. I'm starting to remember what it felt like to get out. (And, um, the Stich almost fits again...) http://ofb.net/~sarah/sam.html -- for pics of the babe. SarahD (formerly SarahB)

Hey Sarah! I wondered what had happened to you. Congratulations on both accounts. Babes are much more frustrating than KLRs and don't come with a good manual of operations. A little soot out the tailpipe on the KLR a little of everything out of the tailpipe of the baby. Have fun! Alan Henderson A13 Iowa

Hey !! It's Wedding Channel Sarah !! Congratulations. At least the baby doesn't come with a shim and bucket set-up. Remember your adventures with that system ? Glad you checked in. Bogdan

Yup, as I tell my younger friends with newborns,"before you know it they'll be 25 and still asking for money!" Kurt [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Figuring out how the baby works is easier, comes more naturally, but more time consuming than figuring out a KLR. ** Hopefully, his doohickey won't need to be replaced.** ;-) Mike New to KLR 2004 20 year old stepson, still working on 21 yr old daughter, still working on 24 yr old son, still working on (but he's the most independent)

Legally speaking at least, it's 18. Only after becoming a dad, did I understand a line I heard in a movie once, something about how they're always your "kid". You could be 70 and they're 50 and you still look out for them. Devon

Up to a point. As a friend of mine said while performing one of those distasteful parental tasks: "Son, I look forward to the day when you can change *my* diaper."
