delorme atlas cover
And a good thing for packing anything. I get the zippered plastic
bags they sell pillows, blankets, etc in at stores. Many different
sizes. I have a set for my Aero Tank panniers, one for each of my
tank bags, several for packing my clothing in before putting them in
my saddle bags.
Makes it easy to see what's where and keep things seperate.
Mine come from WalMart.

cycoactive.com has exactly what you are looking for. The open seam closes with velcro. I have stuffed as many as three atlases in there, and it is tough enough to bungee on top of your luggage.> > Anyone found a good waterproof DeLorme Atlas cover....clear on both > sides. delorme atlas cover
I have one of these dry bags (links below) that I use for scuba
diving. It keeps my logbook, documents, etc., dry. I don't know if
they have something big enough for a DeLorme Atlas.

I also use Mobil Uno cage and have mostly for over 50k miles. The long ago article in MCN influenced my choice. Also it allows me to go an extra thousand miles or so between changes with a clear conscience while traveling.( I usually change every 3k ) But........You use way more oil with a synthetic. My last change using dyno was in Mexico where they didn't have Mobil 1. I used some Quaker State product. I bet I used less then half the oil I usually do. 1 oz per 100 miles - let's see that's 30 ozs per 3k miles; less than a qt ! What are you worried about ? Switch to dyno if it bothers you so much. Valve seals, naw but maybe tonight I'll have a martini. Bogdan> used 15W50 Mobil synthetic since the 2nd oil change.
