How do I get the stock grips off AND back on without destroying them? What are the best grips to quell vibes? Jon

Good luck not destroying them no matter what you try and grips won't quell vibes much. My vibes went away almost completely once I mounted brush guards. I had also filled the handlebars with silicone which made a small difference as did gel grips but the brush guards made a really noticable difference. Paul --- silverartisans wrote:

right, and right. the 714s make a huge difference over the stocks - well worth the $8. --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, Zachariah Mully wrote:

We can maybe hold a fund raiser to raise the $6.00 for a new set after you scrape off the stock grips. --- PJ Riss wrote:

Can you say "exacto knife" ? I always cut mine off and it takes about 5 mins, including cleaning the little junk left behind... ===== Sammamish, WA '94 klr650 '03 ZR-7S '86 klr250 '86 yam it200n KLR 650 FAQ's http://www.bigcee.com/klr650faq.html __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Here in LA, they're considering spraying neighborhoods for mosquitos. Or possibly it's already happening. It doesn't really concern me enough to pay very close attention. Either way, there are now news storys with newscasters saying "Is pesticide spraying coming to YOUR neighborhood?" in their best ominous voice. I find this exceptionally silly, since where I grew up in North Dakota, skeeter spraying was just a part of summer. You keep your pets inside while the planes go overhead or trucks go by, and go about your business with slightly fewer mosquitos. As far as I know, there've never been any problems with this, and I'm sure Grand Forks isn't the only place that does this and has been doing so for years. I guess if you don't have a "skeeter meter" on the front page of your newspaper every day in the summer, dealing with them as a serious problem is a new thing... erik

safety wire really tight on some Dr. Scholls gel heal pads works great. I myself have not found any Gel Grips that offer any thickness to rave about. --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "mike torst" wrote:
