great deal on tires

Post by Jim Hubbard » Mon Aug 23, 2004 9:21 am

Hey guys, I just called to order a new set of tkc-80's from tiresunlimited.com, and the guy said they're running a blowout sale on Continental Enduro Pro CC160's (which I'd never even heard of) for something like $25 a set. Yeah, that's for both the front and rear together. Can't beat that deal, so I jumped on it. There's a pic of the tire at http://www.tiresunlimited.com/images/metzeler_moto rcycle/enduro_pro.gif. I think he said they only have about 17 pairs or so left. I don't work for this vendor, honest. I just thought this was a great deal. The tires prolly suck though. Jim Hubbard

I checked that website and couldn't find the great deals you are talking about. I still think this is a better deal: Qty SKU Description Size Color Status Price On Order --------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- 1 30865 KT-966 Dual Sport Rear Tire 5.10-17 -- On Order $51.99 motorcycle superstore

That's $2 less than what I can get it for thru my local motorcycle shop. And my local motorcycle shop gives me free mounting and balancing (not that I really *need* it since I have tire irons, but it's a PITA enough to deal with these thick-sidewall tires that I'm happy to have them do it). Shipping and taxes are about equal. In short, check your local motorcycle shop first if you're in a market where there's lots of competition. -E

I have a gearhead dn the street that will mount the tires for 25 avocados from our orchard. I am sure that is cheaper--My cost on avos is 25 cents each. Want to buy any avocados? You can pick your own at 35 cents each J

It's true, the deal is real! The website doesn't show 'em, so I called. The guy said they have 11 sets left, so I grabbed 2 sets for a total damage of $68.82 shipped! Mark

The deal the salesman quoted me isn't listed online - apparently you have to call. On the telephone. YMMV. Jim --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "nakedwaterskier" wrote:

The link for the pic didn't work, so her's one that does: http://www.conti-tyres.co.uk/contibike/tyreinfo/tyredata_motorcyle/enduropro.htm It's a more street oriented tire, apparently. I love my TKC's, so I'd bet these are great if you spend most of your time on the street.

I'd bet these are great if you spend most of your time on the street. Picked up two sets at 2:30 pm pst. only 5 sets left still at 25 bucks a set. Anybody have any experience with these tires? Patrick A17

Check this - http://vegasklr.smugmug.com/gallery/69225/6/2404702 This little 55w driving light, with a separate switch, is great at filling the small lighting voids of the stock lamp. It is also mountable on my MX helmet, using the extendable 3' extension wire loam I wired it with. Mike Torst Dual light A16 Las Vegas
