Got all the parts in and got thought i was ready to go but my front forks went completely flat (no pressure at all) what is a good start for fixing this? is it somethign i can even do Also my handlebars are not straight (turned a little to the right) can i loosen that main big bolt on top and straighten them out? What kind of spill? Sound like you tweaked your forks pretty good - and maybe blew the fork seak? Was/is there fork oil dripping?

The big bolt in the middle holds the fork to the frame - doesn't do anything for your handlebars. First you need to see if your handlebars are bent or the forks are twisted or both. I'd just go ahead and plan on taking the forks out (get a Clymer manual) - giving them a good inspection, putting some new seals in and go from there. jim

el derrick2001 or whatever your name is? Sounds like to me that you've bent one or both of the fork tubes and they're stuck inside the fork assembly. If you're asking these kind of questions I'd suggest getting some help in diagnosing the problem. You need to get the front end apart and see what's bent and twisted and either fix or replace the damaged parts. A good manual will help but I still suggest either having someone with experience help you or take it to a shop. Doug At 11:32 AM 8/19/04, you wrote:

Rankinen and Luoma are Finnish surnames. I'm not surprised that they practised the sauna ritual. Part of the real Finnish sauna experience includes lightly beating your skin with a bunch of wet birch branches tied together (vihta). It stimulates blood circulation. I still like the beer drinking part best. Da Yoopers group from the UP of Michigan have some pretty good songs about this. Richard Korpela A15 Chapleau, ON
