klr tailbag

Post by J. Sherlock » Mon Dec 30, 2002 7:33 pm

Givi makes a wonderful tail bag (hard) for the KLR. It is weatherproof, can swallow two full faced helmets, and also has an additional LED brake light right up in a normal cage drivers line of sight. Kind of like the top brake light that are worn on trucks, Vans, and SUV's these days. It is lockable, and the mounting system seems to need improvement, yet I've been on my side several times in the dirt without having any problems. If you feel this is a bit much for you, they have smaller items as well. For soft, the choices are almost endless. I use a Chase Harper and have been happy with it. RKA luggage makes rear bags, along with about a million more names and ideas such as a simple tool box or storage crate. You would have to be at a KLR get together just to see the diversity in tail packages alone. Shop, shop, shop.
