Anyone know if the Craftsman Motorcycle/ATV jack works with the KLR? I would go out and look at the bottom of my bike, but it is STILL at the dealer.

It works if you have one of the standard aftermarket skid plates. Don't
know about without. I bought one a couple of months ago. I've been
happy with it.

My KLR has an aftermarket skid pan, and it fits just fine. Used the jack last night when I pulled/cleaned/replaced my carb. I used the included tie-down straps and was easily able to turn the bike around in the driveway while it was jacked up to the maximum height. Works well, if you still have the stock bash plate, remove it first and
it will sit flat and stable.
If you leave the stock bask plate on, it will not sit flat.

Thanks. I do have an aftermarket skid plate. It is sitting on the shelf in the garage, just waiting for my bike to come home so that I can put it on.

Well, that pretty much answered the question.
Thanks!

Kathi,
It works with the factory and the Dual Sport skid plates. With the factory
skid plate I definitely use the tie down straps that came with it, but the
Dual Sport doesn't need it for minor maintenance. The factory plate is so
flexible that it will allow to rock front to rear.
With the straps installed, I move it all over my garage.

Just line up on the footpegs and pump it up. Brings the bike up to a decent height to work on it. Do not recall that thread, sure that was'nt on the "Too stoned to remember what list I am on" list ?> My favorite thread was the "NKLR - Where to stash your weed on your > KLR" which was very NKLR, but had me peeing my pants with laughter. >

Still do not understand why somebody would want an email for all posts, when you can just log in and let yahoo keep them all on the web and you can just read/post/review online. This is coming from somebody with a 24/7 connection however, I suppose if your on dialup (ack). Dooden A15 Green Ape Oh that large 3" tub with the caps strapped to your skid plate would make a nice container to keep your weed. Just keep it pretty full otherwise it might turn into a powder with all them vibrations...
