Well it finally happened to me. I was told there were two types of
motorcycle drivers those that have fallen and the ones that will
fall.
Well some PR$*@ in a pick up decided to leave the left turning lane
and cross my lane to turn right. I met him half way just where the
cab ends and the box starts. how i am walking with a cane and my A16
is in the shop.
Luckily i will be ok to ride again, hopefully soon as my bike is
fixed and i can walk on two legs again.
Just a note to everyone keep your eyes open and watch for drivers
that think they own the road. I will always approach an intersection
with extreme caution from now on.
Ride safe

klr vs pick up truck guess how lost?
happened to me a couple days ago. I was next to some
big fat red neck, and here he comes into my lane. My
horn was 3 feet from his ear when I beeped it, he was
forcing me into oncoming traffic!. Well he went back
over and I gave him the universal sign of
masterbating, and boy was he pissed. He was cussing at
me as we left the next light, so I wheelied just as a
courtesy. Stay alert!
By the way, was he insured?

I just rode with a buddy to Mt. Washington, NH from Toronto area and
had the best ride ever. It was quite an endurance test for
me...2200 km/1300 miles and I would say, other than the butt/seat
interface, it was without a problem. That seat needs some getting
used to.
I got 65 mpg (4 L/100 km) and the bike was flawless. It went up the
mountain really well, no overheating and I barely needed the brakes
on the way down.
It was a bit lonely though with all those V-twins around!
Cheers,
Bruce
