loose sprocket

Post by flid50 » Wed Apr 21, 2004 10:46 am

I just fitted a new chain and both sprockets (KLR250)and noticed that the piece the rear sprocket is attached to is a tad loose. I can grab the sprocket and move it side to side a few mm each way. There is a gap between the sprocket carrier and swingarm of about 3-4 mm. I have tightened the axle as far as i could to close it.... but it didnt work. is this normal? is it the wheel bearings?

Ever see "On Any Sunday"? They're wearing the old "Visor Vu" duck- billed visors with little mirrors on each side. These were popular "back in the day".. I tried them and thought they sucked... but they sure look good on Malcolm Smith, Mert Lawill and Steve McQueen... Ron in MN
