But my box is horizontal, not vertical, so non-slip might not be an issue for you. Paul List sponsored by Dual Sport News at www.dualsportnews.com. nklr aluminum bag sealing
Have used a plastic felt in aluminum boats-great stuff, extremely
lightwieght. Used 3M Super Adhesive for glue-great stuff. Sourced the felt
at a aluminum canopy manufacturer-about $5 a 90" yard.

Thanks for all the great input - as usual the list is a wealth of
information. I put a thick coat of Turtle Wax on one of the boxes
and am going to let it go a week or so to see how that works out -
if the oxidation comes back I'll move on to round two. I did find a
good bit of information about hobby anodizing, since I'm a grad
student I can get all the chemicals pretty easily (and dispose of
them properly), but with the size of the box (13.5 square feet) all
sorts of logistical problems arise. I'll probably throw some
Herculiner in them if all else fails.
Thanks again

You could also get diamond-plate-pattern rubber, and just contact-cement it inside the panniers. Devon> I'll probably throw some >Herculiner in them if all else fails. >
