'90-'95 clutch reliability issue?

The KLR650 shares the same clutch as about 80% of the Kawasakis ever made. The only difference is the number of plates, anywhere from 5-9 friction plates. The 7-plate style of the '95 and older KLRs is the generally same as Ninja 600s , EX500s and smaller. The 8-plate style of the '96 and newer is the same as the ZX-6, ZX-7 and some 900cc and 1000cc bikes. Mark http://www.reelrider.com
