Greetings,
I recently dropped my KLR and dented the gas tank pretty bad. I am
considering replacing it with an IMS plastic tank. Does anyone have this
tank installed on their KLR? Will the stock fuel petcock work off the
factory tank? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can you buy them for less than $225.00 anywhere? I'd kind like to
get one and put my metal tank away. The sand down here is gonna do a
job on the shinny paint.

When I bought mine, the $225 included shipping which is a very
substantial amount. My first IMS tank had a pinhole cast into it,
which seeped fuel. I got it exchanged, of course, but the return
shipping hurt. IMS did give me a big reduction on a set of their
pegs but I don't think it completely balanced out.
