wheels off an 84 klr 600 fit my 98 650?

The plastics on my formally blue '98 KLR have had a white film on them since I bought the bike used last summer. Intensive scrubbing with a rag and Honda spray cleaner/polish seems to make a little clean spot. Too much work though to do the whole bike. Can anyone recommend a cleaner to easily remove this white scrum from my plastics?

Not sure what the film you're wrestling with is exactly, but the plastics on several '97s and '99s has cleaned up really nicely with the S100 EngineBrite product. Modestly prices at about $8 for a small aresol can, apply it wet, and let set for 2-3 days before any wipe down. Treatment usually lasts for 6+ months, even in the brutal sothwest sun and temps in the 110s. Worth it for my vain self. I'm sure there's other products out there, but none has beat this thing on the blue plastic. Never tried it on the green 2000 and newer KLRs. Them green plastics seem especially susceptable to the untraviolet hazing. hope that helps, MarkB

I think the front *might*. I'm guessing that Kawa recycled the 600 hub for the 650. The rear won't as the 600 uses a drum brake. Mark http://www.reelrider.com
