Ron I like to try the easy things first. This may be redundant with the other advice you have gotten but try removing the two bolts holding on the rear caliper, remove the caliper and then replace the caliper, so that you replace the caliper as the last step of the process. Maybe clymer has it shown this way, I don't know. Main thing is always remove the brake caliper before doing anything else, and then remount it as the last step. Other things to check are chain tension and axle spacers. if the chain is too loose and/or the sprockets and chain are in need of replacing it can make strange noises. Hope this helps and you will learn no problem is really too difficult with the KLR, once you get a little hands on experience. Conall

Ah------wrong on both points-----I am proof of this. I've never been accused of being snooty------and regularly ride with KLR's. When you move that thing between you nose and your chin-------you must first be sure you know what your talking about. Mark Sampson www.bigdogadventures.com Read: ======================== It's kind of a moot point about the BMW for 2 reasons; 1) BMW owners are far too snooty to be seen riding with a KLR 2) All BMWs (except the F650) are shaft drive, and as such cannot countersteer or wheelie. ========================
